That’s the question Slate Magazine is asking in a forum next week. But the debate has already started, with Hanna Rosin arguing yes, and NeW Academic Advisor Christina Hoff Sommers saying no. In her article entitled Oh, Come On, Men Aren’t Finished, Ms. Sommers argues that women are not replacing men, but taking on greater roles along side men.
“The sexes are equal but exercise that equality in different ways.”
What do you think? Is the empowering of women coming at the expense of men? Would women be happier without men? Can the argument be made the opposite way? Let the NeW readers know what you think!
